American Horror Story Season 13: Fed Cult
'Inflation is always and everywhere a moral phenomenon.'
The constant elitist mocking of those who really worry about the cost of living is disgusting. For example, prominent warmonger ‘journalist’ Jonathan Chait:
“You never regain the purchasing power you have lost to inflation. There’s no such thing as deflation in modern monetary life…The important thing is the loss of purchasing power…that is not going to be recaptured, and that’s I think, the political significance of this number.”
““Effigy” was inspired by Nixon…I think the topper for me was in November 1969, when 250,000 demonstrators camped out near the White House to protest the war. Nixon came out and told them, “Nothing you do here today will have any effect on me”—he was going to go back inside and watch the football game on TV. It was like, “Your people have come to talk to you, King Louis XVI. They’re upset.” And he’s telling them he doesn’t care, he’s going back in the palace to do what royalty does.”
