My full interview with Demetri Kofinas

December 1, 2023

Demetri and I have been twitter amigos for years, and I have always said he’s the best prepared host, with one of the very best podcasts, so it was fun and a little intimidating to be on his podcast (Spoiler Alert: I was apparently Henry Kissinger’s replacement!)

Please seriously consider signing up to Demetri’s premium podcast at Hiddenforces.io.

I took a little bit of abuse from a few who didn’t like me, which is fine. I actually expected more pushback, but most people seemed to like it. I’m sure I could’ve presented or phrased things better, or rambled less, but I meant well, and overall think I made the points I wanted to make. (I also had a cold if I sound weirder than usual.)

Part 2 (Demetri’s paywall part) starts around 52 minutes in if you already heard the first hour. I am releasing this with Demetri’s permission.

I think this exchange sums up part 2:

DK: Would you reduce [American military presence] in particular areas more, or would this would be a general withdrawal of American presence all over the world?

RH: I would try to do whatever it took to fix in America the problems that I see and the problems that I think most people see. And if that means that we need the money, and so we're going to close a base in Niger, okay. Now, is that going to create a vacuum and bad guys come in? Yeah. But there's bad guys in Chicago right now. Let's fix that first.

And this is the 2017 Twitter thread I mention.

Godspeed.

Saw this today (Dec. 21) which was encouraging!
