On the JFK thing…

"The first JFK files release of 2025 is an encouraging start," Jefferson Morley of the Mary Ferrell Foundation, a nonprofit that operates a database of government records on the Kennedy assassination, said on X. "We now have complete versions of approximately a third of the redacted JFK documents held by the National Archives (1,124 of approximately 3,500 documents ). Rampant overclassification of trivial information has been eliminated and there appear to be no redactions, though we have not viewed every document.

Seven of ten JFK files held by the Archives and sought by JFK researchers are now in the public record. These long-secret records shed new light on JFK's mistrust of the CIA, the Castro assassination plots, the surveillance of Oswald in Mexico City, and CIA propaganda operations involving Oswald," Morley posted. "The release does not include two thirds of the promised files nor any of 500-plus IRS record, nor any of the 2,400 recently discovered FBI files. Nonetheless, this is most positive news on the declassification of JFK files since the 1990s."

“Many of the documents have long been in the public domain, except for minor redactions, such as the blacking out of personally-identifiable information of CIA sources or employees that the CIA had fiercely fought to keep secret.”

The contempt Powell clearly has for most Americans is on display again here.

Jerome has absolutely no clue how 90%+ of America lives.

Why would he? He's worth 9-figures and has been a Wall Street insider for 40+ years.

“Past Inflation”

Also, Powell slipped in Wednesday that they are cutting their Treasuries QT from $25 billion to $5 billion a month, which is a joke (they still own $4.242 Trillion of UST, plus $2.2T of MBS!)

At this rate it'll take 54 years to get Treasury holdings down to Bernanke's 2010 target of $1 trillion (they’ll restart QE long before then).

As a final insult, Powell mentioned that they’re going to do their “Fed Listens” dog and pony show again. Clearly, they only listen to people like Mohamed El-Erian and David Rubenstein.

Buzzword Bingo

Amazing.

No.

This headline is stupid. We didn't ‘lose’ $5 trillion. That's a theoretical number.

“People's idea of what capitulation looks like is junior varsity, right? Like, “Oh my God - that was so much pain. Now it's over.” Dude! You have no idea what pain is.”

The average household net worth of me, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos is $176.3 Billion. The median household net worth of me, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos is $215 Billion.

“In my opinion, there is a shortage of gold and silver masked by various swaps and ETFs, facilitated by custodians and APs hypothecating their depositors and shareholders’ unallocated metal and vaults like a hotel renting rooms by the day and beds by the hour. There is newly mined and recycled gold coming in, but not enough yet. No one is selling gold.”
