Great interview Rudy...new car prices: I agree with the premise price increases are underreported, but I also think we're not shining enough light on how much tech is getting into cars (and many other products) without consumer input. On a recent road trip I had to whistle my way down the highway because I couldn't program the onboard computer to play a song. I'm convinced the increase in traffic accidents / deaths is directly related to the increase in car technology which brings with it an overload of distractions for drivers, many of them unnecessary. The consumer can't walk on the lot and ask for a vehicle absent all these "advancements", even though they would be much safer in the comparable 2005 product. Doomberg makes the same point with energy with his most recent take-down of wind turbines that are a power-deficient ecological disaster being force-fed to the population without consent, increasing consumer prices along the way. Technology disguised as improvements that everyone wants and no one can decline has removed the normal consumer decisions that historically dictated the direction of end markets, with the result being fewer and fewer products with real competition and consumers left holding the one-size-fits-all shiny object, whether they like it or not.
2008 should have been handled like sweden handled its banking crisis of 1990-94: nationalize the banks, clean out the c-suites, restabilize and then privatize them. also some of those people should have gone to jail. angelo mozilo, among others, should have gone to jail. i think if that had happened this country wouldn't be tearing itself apart now.
Interested to hear your take on the economist who is running for President of Argentina- he seems to share your disdain for central banking. He also gave a pretty spot-on description of the issues with central banking (at least in Argentina)
Rudy has a remarkable ability to see both the forest and the trees. Great job.
Would love to see a detailed analysis showing the straight line from inflation to Hitler, and the inflation to political upheaval in other countries and eras over time.
Why isn't there a feature to rewind 10 sec or fast forward 10 sec? It would enhance UX. Sometimes I want to hear again what I missed and sometimes I want to skip some boring parts.
Did you ask why he has to block everyone?
He talked about it at the end
Thank you. I really enjoyed that

Not that familiar with him other than a few tweet quotes I saw. He seems much better than Lagarde or Yellen.

You’ve really come out of your shell!
I'm so shy and introverted :)

Maybe the Spaces version on Twitter. Also there are no boring parts.
There must be a way to do speech to text. I love ya but, please post transcripts too.
I will look into that.
