You’re 100% correct about older people generally not caring about what happens to future generations. Young people don’t realize why the country is screwed up and are prone to turning toward socialism as a result, thinking that “capitalism” is to blame rather than cronyism and regulatory capture. Hard to be optimistic.
I finally read the whole Thomas Mann link. I think even more duping occurs because a large proportion of payments are now made by card. IMHO, it doesn't hurt as much when you simply 'tap' or 'swipe'. I still like to pay with cash and I feel the debasement of the currency more acutely. I don't know if this 'psychological shift' will make inflation stickier, higher contribute more to inflation or less. Will banks lift 'credit limits' ? Or do credit card limits act like a brake ?
Oz perspective, use of cash is really under the cosh.

i miss ron paul
He should campaign one last time for the sole reason of saying “Hey, I told you this would happen.”
An old fish swimming along one day passes by a couple of young fish….”How’s the water boys?”, he asks, in passing.
The young fish look at each other. ‘What the hell is water?”, one asks.
When you mentioned that we are surrounded every day by propaganda and most don’t realize it, this immediately popped into my mind.
Yes! I meant to mention that metaphor but got distracted as usual

You and I should do a podcast one of these days...maybe bring in StockCats too.
We used to have leaders that left office still in the middle class, but no longer...that's the problem.

I know these things to be true, but it's almost too much to bear to see them all put together like this.

Also, try them for treason and string up the guilty.
