"...many more people are aware of the scam now than in 2008, and some of them even understand the right people to blame. I like to think I played a tiny part in that. That’s somewhat encouraging."
Reminding everyone, even those of us who were there and more or less knew, who exactly was responsible, and when, and how, is a real service. It's simply too easy for some to never learn, and for others to forget. Think globally, act locally has meaning. As does your work here.
A quote from Philip Kerr’s great historically based fictional, detective series, set in National Socialist Germany. Bernie Gunther, the main, morally ambiguous character makes the following observation.
“When the most wicked and mendacious are in charge, truth is the one commodity this is the most valuable of all.”
I think the observation is as applicable in Germany (among other places in history) as it is today in the good old USA.
Rudy through you musings you are part of that invaluable commodity.
Appreciate you taking the time to let us get to know you a little better. Helps the feeling of collegiality; of being part of a big club that we ARE in!
So much of what you write is applicable to the COVID authoritarianism. If you don't agree to extreme government interventions you literally want to kill my grandparents, murderer!
TARP was about as evil corrupt as DC could get until the COVID debacle came along. Wait - don't get me started on pharma.
Incredible post. It’s time to get local - it’s the only way through this. Love the advice and guidance here. And if I had heroes, you’d be one ;). But you are an inspiration and have kept me going on this exhausting trip.
Awesome post! I really appreciate Michael Hudson who is pretty lefty but also has historical examples from the Bible about debt slavery, debt jubilees and when rulers were expected to have them etc. I like the distinction he makes between financial and industrial capitalism.
great stuff as always
THANK YOU

You better not be sponsored by Pfizer.

Thank you, and thanks for the excerpt on Twitter!
Thank you. You sound both like Jesus abd Buddha to me. You helped me to wake up. I am a better man now.
God speed, Rudy.
Beautiful viewpoints on making a difference, Rudy.
Inspired and wise thoughts, per usual.
Nailed it!
I suggest that you exchange the “H” on your t-shirt with a “D”! 😂😂
Whitney Webb is one cool cat.
She's like 31 years old. Amazing.
"I could suggest writing to your Congressperson about some of the issues that inspire/depress you. I don’t think that would work, but you could try"
hahahahahah--made my day!

Your music references cheer me up. This time it's Pete Shelley of the Buzzcocks did an album called Homosapien. Thanks Rudy.
Also have taken to watching the nesting Eagles all over the US. Fortitude they have. Determination too!
