Just a quick note to everyone in light of my interview with Grant Williams and Steph Pomboy that was posted today:
The response to my first podcast has been very positive, thank you. I felt a bit nervous and rambling doing it - it was my first desktop Zoom call - but it turned out pretty well I hope, just over an hour. The hosts were both very gracious as always.
Grant’s podcast is a paid subscriber podcast. I’d promised him years ago - before this latest podcast of his - that if I ever did an interview he’d be the first. He’s about 15 hours ahead of me in time so he’s just waking up to the reaction now.
I’m hopeful we can at least have my interview available at some point for my paid Substack subscribers. Also, I’ll probably do some normal free (and worth every penny) interviews in the future, until I’m as overexposed as Dave Collum (just kidding Dave!)
Thank you to everyone for the kind words and support. So far just today on Substack I have gained over 100 free subscribers, and about 20 paid subscribers! I’ll finally be able to switch from Bud Light to real beer (just kidding - I’ve always hated Bud Light).

Everyone who's been bearish on the Nikkei over the past 33 years has now been proven wrong.
This is for future historians:
For anyone that thinks we put 2008 behind us - well - I think most are starting to wake up to the idea that no matter how much hand-wringing and credit-quality gospel singing we have been subjected to, no lessons were learned and absolutely nothing changed…..it just shape shifted into the shadows or materialized in a seemingly harmless form in front of our very eyes. - Melody Wright

So happy that Mary Daly is committed to the dollar holding its purchasing power from week to week.
Also, bagels are up from $2.49 to $2.99 this week at trader joes but they seem to taste better and are actually cheaper than ever.
Your Subtack format has certainly been worth the price of general admission,
