I think his manager needs to sit down with him at his annual performance review, let him know that he’s failing in every single aspect of his role and is thus a low performer on the team and will have to be managed out.
It is so sad that people like this have positions of power. How you can be so wrong for so long and keep your job and bully pulpit is beyond me. In the private sector this guy and those like him (most of the government that is) would be out on their butts. Then again, they're probably not employable in the private sector.
The only solution is to have them feel the consequences of their actions. Let's reduce their salaries and benefits every year by 2% and let's confiscate 2% of their accumulated wealth every year, in addition to them paying whatever taxes they owe. This would be on an after-tax basis. Then, if not immediately, within a couple of years at least, they would start to figure out that their policies are misguided.
Had to google mr Weaver. Knew “Ruby Ridge” of course, but had forgotten details like names. As to your point, I agree sadly. There is no escape, there is no hedge.
ggggeeeeezzzzzzzuzzzzzfffffingkkrrreiss
his trial is one I would actually try to get into to watch
and failing that actually watch on tv
I like the idea of a negative salary decrement for every wrong statement

This is what we are all here for!
Fish in a barrel

I’m thinking of moving to Tristan da Cunha (google it!). Is that far enough away from these imbeciles?
Not if they want you. Just ask Randy Weaver.

Zerohedge really is well named.
